[TV] Callum Blue Is Smallville’s General Zod

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Callum Blue (The Tutors) will join the cast of Smallville for the show's 9th season, and play the role of super villain General Zod. General Zod was a DC Comics character, and made an appearance in the 1980 film Superman II, where he was played by Terence Stamp.

Sounds good, but shouldn't Zod be Jor-El's age... Shouldn't he be played by an actor who appears to be old enough to be Clark's dad? Or does he not age wherever he's at?

Because Clark is about 20, maybe 21 on the show. And if you wanted a comparison, in the 1978 movie, Clark was 18 when he built the Fortress, and the ghost of Jor-El teaches him for "10 of your years."
